Great Success at the Kiwoko and Kuman K9 Dog Exhibition at MYO Gandia

Last Saturday, 4 May, the Kiwoko store at MYO Gandia Retail Park became the centre of attention for animal lovers. In a day filled with a great atmosphere and attended by numerous families together with their faithful four-legged companions, the eagerly awaited Dog Obedience and Scentwork Exhibition was successfully held in close collaboration with the renowned dog training school Kuman K9.

The event, which began promptly at 12:00 p.m., gave everyone attending the chance to enjoy a high-level practical demonstration of dogs’ learning abilities, concentration and working skills.

Discipline, teamwork and the power of scent

The handlers and professionals from Kuman K9 carried out a series of advanced obedience exercises, showing live how consistency, positive reinforcement and mutual respect are key to building a strong connection between handler and dog. Visitors were able to see clear examples of impulse control and immediate responses that left more than one person impressed.

Without a doubt, one of the most applauded moments of the morning was the scentwork demonstration. The participating dogs amazed the audience with their speed and accuracy when locating specific substances and objects in just a matter of seconds, highlighting the extraordinary potential of dogs’ most highly developed sense and showing how this type of activity can also be an excellent form of mental stimulation in everyday life.

As well as enjoying the demonstrations, pet owners had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the training experts and receive personalised advice from the specialist team at the Kiwoko store in Gandia on nutrition, accessories and general pet care.
