The Vuelta arrives in La Safor: everything is ready for the stage finish in Xeraco
This Saturday, August 29 , La Safor has a date with one of the great sporting events of the summer.
The eighth stage of the 2026 Vuelta a España , starting in Puçol, will finish at Platja de Xeraco , making the region the protagonist of a day that will bring together fans, locals and visitors.
A stage of 171 kilometers
The route will be 171 kilometers long and will enter La Safor after passing through Simat de la Valldigna, going up towards Barx and La Drova and finally heading towards Xeraco.
The second-category climb to Barx will be one of the key sporting highlights before the final kilometers towards the coast. The peloton is expected to cross the finish line between 5:20 and 5:40 pm , depending on the pace of the race.

The finish line will be located on Borrons Avenue in Playa de Xeraco .
If you plan to come, it's best to arrive early: the last kilometer will be closed to traffic from 3:00 pm and alternative access routes and extra parking areas have been set up to facilitate the arrival of the public.
A plan to enjoy all day
The local organizers themselves expect many people to arrive from the morning onwards to combine the event with the beach, gastronomy and sporting atmosphere .
So the proposal can be simple: a morning at the beach, lunch in the area, and then find a good spot to watch the peloton go by.
And if you need to prepare your plan before leaving —some exercise, essentials for the day or some pending shopping— you can make a stop at MYO Gandia and then head towards Xeraco.
The arrival of La Vuelta is an opportunity to enjoy top-level sport very close to home and experience the atmosphere of a great competition without leaving the region.
